Google Plus: A Facebook competitor, or Myspace loser?

Posted on: July 1st, 2011 by Vince 17 Comments

The sleek, primitive looking product, Google Plus was just announced a few days ago.  This social network combines many aspects and usability of which Facebook could do better at.  To begin, we have:

Circles: Google’s Circles help you add friends to interests in you.  So if you have an interest for a certain activity at a certain date, Circles helps you and your friends group together.

Sparks: Say you have an interest in a topic.  Sparks helps you search for that topic, and add it to your interests for your friends to see and find others in common.  A great tool, that it is, could also help boost competition.

and finally…

Hangouts: One of the most epic-emerged social experiences that Facebook never thought of.  Video Chat.  In real time. With friends? Want  to hang out?  No prob.  Just video chat, and suggest, pop ideas, and become more social.

This social platform may, in fact, change the way of social networking.  Forever.
