Facebook Updates, But Will It Top The Top Or Drop The Drop?

Facebook has recently introduced major layout changes. Lists have been added to this ambiguous social network. But what hits me hard is the nav bar. A drop down box to navigate. Really? When I dream up a useful site, it’s navigation must be usable in a way to which the user can easily navigate with ease and push forth incredibly likable comments. But, so far, I have yet to succumb to this new, uneven design. A profile update is set to release tomorrow at f8 where the major updates hit. We can only hope for the best, if this social network tops the top, or drops the drop at the f8 tomorrow. My best wishes in this huge social network to push forward. We’ll see tomorrow.

AOL and Yahoo? A dazzling duo, or an atrocious couple?

AOL has always been a long-time favorite, preferably when it launched. It’s AIM platform has helped it expand into a large company. Though, these last few years haven’t been great for the large tech blogs being picked up by AOL. They have ruined the structure of Engadget, TechCrunch, and others over the past years. But now, they plan to pick up a new competitor. That’s right, Yahoo!. The search engine powering thousands. The recent firing of the CEO could have prompted the enormous company to acquire Yahoo!. But a falling blog-holding company, and a CEO-less company may or may not turn out a Romeo-and-Juliet relationship. I believe they both are crumbling and only need a strong leader to command them to victory. Both companies have been very unpopular lately, as they clashed together at last year’s TechCrunch Disrupt 2010. But, if they do merge, what will happen? Will it open up a new, fresh service full of dazzling features, or will it end up a pile of crumbling food a-mess on the floor. Though, we don’t have many details yet on this perplexed situation. We hope to view more on this soon.

Yahoo CEO Fired, Company Outs Her As Trouble Reins Within Her Path

Posted on: September 7th, 2011 by Vince 3 Comments

Yesterday, it has come to attention that the, now former, CEO of Yahoo! has been fired. Carol Bartz has been CEO of Yahoo! for over 3 years, and if you’ve been wondering what’s going on with Yahoo!, she’s the problem. As you very well know, the company’s popularity did not come of her. She did not expect this preposterous attempt to be fired, but yesterday, at promptly around 8 o’clock, the final email came through. She will miss her large, lucrative-without-her company. Yahoo! has shown to be a small predecessor among the giants this year, and shows why the former CEO was fired just yesterday. The fight between Michael Arrington only increased her infuriated her employees more to her only 50% approval rate last year. Her downfall will be one not missed as a new CEO shall come forth and prove the full potential of Yahoo! with a strong leader.

Amazon bringing in a tablet of it’s own, and with Kindle in place, this should be interesting

Posted on: September 4th, 2011 by Vince 2 Comments

Just last week, Sony announced it’s supreme device, the Sony S1 tablet. It has Android 3.0, and Playstation games. But, what will Amazon hold when it dawns into the tablet world? Well, just recently, the tech news-y site, TechCrunch, spilled the beans on some fantastic news for this tablet. It will hold a 7 inch screen. If you’re not sure how large a 7 inch screen is, it’s about the size of the Samsung Galaxy Tab or Blackberry Playbook. But the difference between this and other tablets is that this tablet packs a punch. This mean tablet is supposed to include Amazon Cloud Services, as well as Amazon Kindle, Instant Video Player, and App Store. This exquisitive device is rumored at a November launch, along with a $250 price tag. So, if you want a sleek device that packs Amazon services in it’s thin processor, go right ahead.
