Amazon bringing in a tablet of it’s own, and with Kindle in place, this should be interesting

Posted on: September 4th, 2011 by Vince 2 Comments

Just last week, Sony announced it’s supreme device, the Sony S1 tablet. It has Android 3.0, and Playstation games. But, what will Amazon hold when it dawns into the tablet world? Well, just recently, the tech news-y site, TechCrunch, spilled the beans on some fantastic news for this tablet. It will hold a 7 inch screen. If you’re not sure how large a 7 inch screen is, it’s about the size of the Samsung Galaxy Tab or Blackberry Playbook. But the difference between this and other tablets is that this tablet packs a punch. This mean tablet is supposed to include Amazon Cloud Services, as well as Amazon Kindle, Instant Video Player, and App Store. This exquisitive device is rumored at a November launch, along with a $250 price tag. So, if you want a sleek device that packs Amazon services in it’s thin processor, go right ahead.

Steve Jobs Quits, Tim Cook Takes Lead As Emperor, All Well And Ends Well?

Posted on: August 31st, 2011 by Vince 3 Comments

Steve Jobs quits. The headline of papers, popular blogs like Engadget and AOL, and a major gain or loss for Apple. The heroic efforts of this powerful man have taken Apple from a small, city-town broken-down garage, to an un-beat, world-leading tech company. This leader has proven his strength through innovation in the company. For long, Apple was know just as a sidebar for PC. But that all changed in the new millennium. Jobs though that what if there company could create such a device? A device that could hold mass amounts of storage? And behold, unfolds the Ipod, a new leading-class music player. The market and crowd gre3w attention to the company’s new product. Year after year, Ipod after Ipod. Then, 2007 came sooner than it thought. The Ipod Touch. Apps were now the main focus of this massively-growing phenominon. But, also that year launched a new type of phone. A touch screen phone…with apps? The Iphone became a huge success with Apple bringing in developers and an “ever-expanding” App Store. Later on came the Apple TV and better computers. This unsurpassed company has made through easy and rough times with patent law suits and agreements and disagreements. But Steve Jobs has really stepped up his game from it’s hard-to-beat competitor, the PC. Although Steve Jobs has done well in the past years as Apple CEO and a world-technology-changer, his health has also been an adverse affect. Pancreatic Cancer has been a tough battle, and being on sick leave since January hasn’t helped his job. His leave will be a hard one, for some, but others, a great farewell, as Tim Cook steps up at the plate. Tim Cook has worked with Steve Jobs many times before, and is one who Steve Jobs believes will run the company well. With all do and said, do you believe that Steve Jobs’s leave was a great move, or terrible?

WIFI plunges on a new Sony-modeled PSP

It appears that the PS3 price drop wasn’t enough for this company. The PSP Vita is getting a new brother soon. The PSP E-1000. A PSP-1-looking device may seem the same, but with a slight touch up. The remodel looks pretty slick, and if I do say, I never used wifi on a PSP. This thing looks stunning, especially for users who’ve already turned the Vita down. So, if you’re looking for a new PSP besides the Vita with a “no” on WIFI, go with the E-1000.
